A new logo for the country’s leading silk road trade organisation, Silk Road Foundation, has been unveiled.
The Silk Road Society of India (SRSI) is a national organisation that promotes the silk road in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The logo is an homage to the famous 19th century map of India that was based on the Silk Road.
It is the second major branding initiative for the SRSI, after it was launched in 2015.SRSIs chief executive and president Sajid Shah has been keen to highlight the new logo in recent months.
The SRSi logo was created to celebrate the centenary of the first edition of the Silk Route Map.
In the past, the SRCI has also had a logo for its main business in the country, the World Silk Road Initiative (WSRI), a group of Silk Road countries working to promote and protect the Silk Path in India.
Last year, Shah announced a brand revamp for the group, the Asia Silk Road Project (ASRP).
According to a release issued by the Srsi in October, the new design was inspired by a map of Asia that was created in 1885.
The new logo incorporates a new icon, the “S” symbol, that is a tribute to the “Shah,” the founder of the Srdjan (Silk Road) movement.
“This symbol was chosen to represent the new symbol that symbolises the ‘Shah’,” Shah said in a statement.
The official launch of the brand logo on Monday is expected to be held on Wednesday.
