On Friday, the first trailer for the first season of Netflix’s upcoming hit “SilkRoad” premiered on the service.
The show, which is based on the novel by Farsad Atallah, is set in the world of Silk Road, a digital black market that was the subject of a massive hack earlier this year.
According to the show’s synopsis, “the new season will focus on the mysterious Silk Road.
As the first true global currency for illicit activity, the Silk Road has become a hub for illicit commerce, including the trafficking of child sex and narcotics, money laundering and extortion.”
“Silent Spring” is also getting the same treatment, as it follows a group of women and men who live in the fictional town of Silent Spring.
The premise of “Silence Spring” has been the subject, in the past, of several Hollywood blockbusters, including “The Help,” “The Social Network,” “Black Mass” and “The Matrix.”
“The New Girl” star Jessica Lange recently revealed that she was raped at a party in “Silicon Valley,” which she says was in her late teens.
The series’ writers also recently wrote the script for “The Walking Dead” season 3, which will also air on Netflix.
“Silks” will debut on Friday, Oct. 21, at 10:00 p.m.
EST on Netflix, and will be available to stream via streaming services including Amazon Instant Video and Hulu Plus.
It is also available for purchase on Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and other retailers.
